One thing about me, I love to give color. This colorful crochet set is definitely my most ambitious piece to date. What was supposed to be just a backless top for my birthday dinner turned into a full-blown outfit.
After spending a weekend in Miami last June, I fell in love with the beautiful, vibrant colors of the city. Anytime I truly enjoy myself in a different space, the experiences and images tend to linger in my mind. With that, I wanted to create a piece that reflected the way the colors and the bright Miami vibe made me feel.
Even though I didn’t meet my birthday deadline, I allowed this project to evolve on its own terms. I’m so glad I did. Although a lot of work went into it, I can say I enjoyed crocheting this look (especially now that I’m over the mountain). The best part of it being that it was no force, and all flow.
